Lubby is a dedicated backing track player, built from the first sketch for one job: playing your tracks the same way, every show. Load your set, turn the knob, press play.
This is not the actual box. The real Lubby is under wraps for now. We won't spoil the surprise yet.
A backing track player, and only a backing track player. Every decision serves one job: getting your tracks to the room, on cue, every night.
One knob. Turn it to choose your song, press it to play. If you can work a volume knob, you already know how to use Lubby.
A box that does one job has very little that can go wrong. No pop-ups, no notifications, no spinning wheel. Just the next song.
Small enough to sit on top of your amp and ride along in your gig bag. Your whole set, in one compact box.
Priced for working musicians, not tour budgets. Pro-level playback without the pro-level invoice.
Knowing what to leave out is half of good design. Here is what we left out.
Drum machines are big, brilliant instruments built for programming beats. Drafted into backing track duty, they mean hauling pads, patterns and a thick manual to the gig, just to press play on a song you already finished.
Laptops overheat under stage lights, freeze in the middle of a set, and pick the worst possible moment to ask for an update. Lubby has no room for that kind of drama.
We don't run your lights, your MIDI, your visuals, or walk your dog. Everything else stays off the box, so the one thing it does gets our full attention.
Okay, we love dogs. We'd consider walking the dog.Plug Lubby into your computer with a USB cable and load your songs. Our resident Boston terrier handles the paperwork.
He also greets you on the startup screen. He takes the job very seriously.
Lubby is getting close. Leave your name and email and we will let you know the moment pre-orders open, plus a few updates on the way there.
We'll be in touch.
